Lee on the Solent War Memorial

This site is a tribute to the Men and Women listed on Lee-on-the-Solent war memorial who lost their lives in the service of their country. 

In the summer 2018 I decided to research the names on our War Memorial in Lee-on-the-Solent. Since September 2018 I have been publishing my research on a Facebook page of the same name on the anniversary of the persons death.

Names are listed alphabetically order under the headings at the top.

The War Memorial shares a large number of names with the War memorial at Stubbington due to the fact that Stubbington and Lee-on-the-Solent were part of the Parish of Crofton until the mid 1930's. 

The War Memorial contains the names of 89 Men and Women, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Civilians, the youngest being only 13 years old. 

Lee-on-the-Solent is a seaside town  on the South coast of the United Kingdom. It is situated between the 2 Cities of Portsmouth and Southampton and forms part of the Borough of Gosport.
